About This Course

For ages 10–25: how to drive your own motivation — and keep your thinking sharp when AI offers to do it for you. The fast, no-clock version (~45 min).

Nobody made you open this. That already makes it different from most things with the word "course" on them.

Here's the deal: there are companies worth trillions of dollars that would happily do your thinking for you. This is about making sure they don't — and that the mind you walk around in is actually yours.

You'll learn the stuff most adults don't: that your brain is in peak build mode right now, why you go all-in on some things and can't start others, how to be your own coach instead of your own bully, and how to use AI so it makes you sharper instead of hollowing you out.

One promise: this isn't a lecture. You literally can't be lectured into thinking for yourself. So every part is something you do — you'll run experiments on your own brain, make predictions, and decide for yourself what's true.

Five short parts. No clock. Nothing expires. Your mind is yours. Let's go drive it.

What You'll Learn

  • Explain why your brain is in peak "build mode" between 10 and 25 — and why struggle means you're building, not failing
  • Spot the five things that actually drive you, and add them to boring-but-important tasks yourself
  • Run your own inner "Coach" (high standards + having your own back) instead of your inner Bully or Excuse-Maker
  • Use AI as a sparring partner, not a ghostwriter — "think first, augment second" — and catch it when it's confidently wrong
  • Write your own Mind Charter and pick one real thing to do differently this week

The Challenge

There are companies worth trillions that would happily do your thinking for you.

They hand you AI for free. Ever wonder how they make their money? More use, more data, more dependence — they're betting you'll take the easy road for everything and never notice your own thinking getting weaker.

This isn't a "put down your phone" lecture. It's the opposite: the stuff most adults never tell you about how your own brain works, so you can drive it instead of being driven.

And it's not something you watch. It's something you do.

Your brain is in peak build mode 10–25 — what you practise becomes you, what you outsource you lose.

Myelination + pruning

You're not lazy — you run on five real drivers (status, autonomy, mastery, purpose, belonging). Change the fuel, not yourself.

Self-Determination Theory

Anyone can paste a prompt. Using AI as a sparring partner — keeping your own mind in the driver's seat — is the actual flex.

Think first, augment second

Why Now

The Landscape Is Shifting Fast

10–25

is when your brain paves new "roads" faster than almost any other time in your life. What you practise now wires in for decades.

Developmental neuroscience

−17%

Students who leaned on AI scored 17% worse on a later no-AI test — below kids who never used it. The shortcut hollows out the skill.

Wharton study

Yours

Nobody can make you keep your mind sharp. That's exactly why choosing to is the real power move.

The whole point

What You'll Build

Concrete Deliverables

1

Your brain, explained

Why it feels the way it does 10–25 — and why that's a superpower, not a problem.

2

Your real fuel

The five drivers, and how to add them to stuff you've been avoiding.

3

Your inner Coach

How to talk to yourself when things go wrong — and why stress is fuel.

4

Your mind vs. the machine

Use AI so it makes you sharper, not hollow. The most rebellious move there is.

5

Your Mind Charter

Your own operating principles + one real move this week.
