Show TWO ten-frames (2x5 grids) side by side. Problem: 8+5. First ten-frame has 8 counters. Second has 5 counters. The student drags counters from the second frame to fill the first frame to 10 (dragging 2 over). Now they see: 10 + 3 = 13. The number sentence updates: '8 + 5 = 8 + 2 + 3 = 10 + 3 = 1
