Description

8 steps: (1) Solve x²+6x+2=0. (2) Move constant: x²+6x=-2. (3) Take half the x-coefficient: 6/2=3. (4) Square it: 3²=9. (5) Add 9 to BOTH sides: x²+6x+9=-2+9=7. (6) Left side is now a perfect square: (x+3)²=7. (7) Take square root: x+3=±√7. (8) Solve: x=-3±√7. Check this matches the quadratic formul
