Description

6 steps: (1) Factor 6x²+9x. Find GCF of coefficients: GCF(6,9)=3. Find GCF of variables: both have at least x¹. GCF = 3x. (2) Divide each term by GCF: 6x²÷3x=2x, 9x÷3x=3. (3) Write: 3x(2x+3). (4) CHECK by distributing: 3x·2x=6x², 3x·3=9x ✓. (5) Another: 12x³-8x²+4x. GCF=4x. Factor: 4x(3x²-2x+1). (6)
