5 steps: (1) Present continuous = am/is/are + verb-ing. 'I am walking. She is talking. They are running.' (2) Most verbs: just add -ing: 'play→playing, eat→eating, read→reading.' (3) Verbs ending in -e: drop the e, add -ing: 'make→making, write→writing, dance→dancing.' (4) Short verbs ending CVC: do
